Hi, I’m Emelie Svensson — a visual communicator and graphic designer with a passion for turning bold ideas into thoughtful, impactful designs.
I specialise in creating concept-driven work that balances creativity with clarity, always aiming to deliver design solutions that stand out and are understood universally.

My strengths lie in both the big-picture thinking and the finer details - whether that’s developing innovative concepts, pushing creative boundaries, or refining the perfect grid. I’m fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite and have a strong eye for layout and visual harmony, all backed by a deep-rooted understanding of how design communicates and connects.

I believe great design is both intuitive and imaginative and I’m always exploring new ways to bring that philosophy to life in my work.

Scottish Delicacies Tea Towel
2025
[3 Week Project]
Printed onto 100% Cotton Fabric

Paperboy curator David McKendrick set the task of creating a supplement for the publication’s latest Scottish issue. This outcome focuses on some iconic ‘Scottish delicacies’ – typically identified by deep-frying processes that are recognisable by their distinct colour palette and unmistakeable textures. A thematically patterned tea towel inspired by the colours of the Scottish saltire seeks to epitomise the culinary aspect of the project in a tangible, practical implement; one that can be utilised in one’s own food endeavours.

Inventory Catalogue
2025
[4 Week Project]
64mm x 89mm Singular Cards printed onto Acetate

A continuation of The Cherimoya Collection. With such a range of delicate statement pieces to choose from, potential customers are able to test and envisage combinations from the collection in their own setting with itemised catalogue cards. Contained in a glass case for safekeeping, the catalogue cards within can be utilised to contextualise the items in unique displays. By positioning the glass case in the desired location of an item from the collection, then by holding a catalogue card so that its scale guides align with the top and bottom of the glass case, one can visualise the item as though it were already in their possession.

Cherimoya Collection Website
2025
[4 Week Project]

>View the Website<

The Cherimoya Collection is a luxury homeware and events brand that sells and rents sought-after items from an eclectic inventory. From special occasions to dinner parties, merrymakers can curate the desired objects for their celebrations with collections of glassware, crockery, and ornaments.

The Cherimoya Collection is an immersive homeware experience designed for occasions beyond the ordinary, where delicately curated dining utensils can be bought or rented to craft elegantly merry moments. A seasonally shifting website guides visitors with clarity through current collections, inspiration articles, and a cherished archive of previous artefacts. Each page of the site succinctly invites users to explore an eclectic range of possibilities and imagine scenarios of their own – emphatically, the ‘Curation Table’ allows for unique combinations to be made from the current collection, allowing for personalised experimentation with assemblages and a vivid grasp of each item’s quirks and their harmony with others. Steeped in original photography and a simplistically evocative visual vocabulary, this digital canvas endeavours to connect dedicated hosts with a living collection that elevates the everyday and makes it beautifully one’s own.

The Paradigm of Camouflage
2025
[4 Week Project]
Publication in Hand-Made Metal File Casing

‘The Paradigm of Camouflage’ explores attributes associated with essences of camouflage and its breadth of contemporary applications, seeking to challenge the often-prejudicial connotations attached to the phenomenon. The notion of camouflage has been channelled to communicate its military roots, with the project outcome emulating the elusive concealment of intelligence with a tactile appeal of confidential documentation.

Unify/Amplify
2025
[1 Week Project]
A3 Risograph Print

The Glasgow School of Art proclaims to the objective that “they are inclusive and creative collaborators.” This poster seeks to emblematise this key ethos, embodying visual cues that speak of such an objective. The poster was printed using a risograph to accentuate the bold colour scheme of the institution, depicting the hands of multidisciplinary students exercising their unified spirit to augment string into the letters G, S, & A.

“Basin Green Print”

2023
[2 Week Project]
Hand Painted Acrylic onto 3 Meter Roll of Paper

This project began with a location assigned through ‘What3Words’: a platform that pinpoints exact coordinates using unique three-word combinations. My location was Cowcaddens Fire Station in Glasgow — a space marked by municipal presence and visual boldness.

After observing the site, I was drawn to the impactful visual identity communicated through large-scale, highly legible typography, paired with a distinct pattern and a unified colour scheme. These elements spoke to the urgency and structure inherent in the space’s function.

In response, I hand-painted a typographic piece that reflected these characteristics — working at a large scale with bold letterforms, a selective colour palette, and a graphic style that echoed the rhythm and order of the fire station’s architecture. This was an exercise in letting the space inform every design decision, from style and structure to emotive incentive.
